We were watching Zee Arabia when they played their video...and suddenly I saw this gothic chick singing...what was that song again? I was mystefied just by looking in her eyes. I hope they are not fake. And from now on Im going to be researching their music. A friend told me that theif concert DVD is good. I have to get my hands on that.

When was the last time you recieved an sms during the most unholy hour of the night? Or early in the morning for that matter? I forgot how it feels to recieve a very sweet message on these occassions. It's not that me and my wife had forgotten to be sweet anymore, we just found the boundery between being sweet and a respect for the sleepless and stressed better half.

A friend of mine was woken up one morning by a sweet goodmorning message. Not on her phone but her husbands! And she wasn't the one who sent it. Bad!

MAMA MONCHANG

Just saw Harry Potter on a pirated DVD. It had the worst copy of a movie ever.

I'm not a Potter fan...I'm a Hermione fan. But for some reason J.K. Rowling chose Ron to be Hermione's Adonis and not Harry. Harry on the otherhand is inlove with "Mama Monchang" the asian witch with an English acsent. Why JK? That was 3 hours that I lost per movie. Its a good thing that I didn't read any of the books.

JIMI HENDRIX EXPERIENCE

My son is full of surprises. One day he showed us that he can sing. When he was young he liked messing with my guitar so we bought him a toy guitar at Toys r Us. Now he can do both! He made his debut two nights ago when by pal Don was at my place for a few drinks. He sang his heart out for more than 10 minutes. He sang so hard that you can see his face turn red and the veins in his smooth baby neck pop out in anger. Occasionally he would pluck his guitar while closing his eyes as if he is feeling every note that plays...then he would lean and bend like Slash. He also bangs his head and stomps he feet. My boy is a rock star! At the end of his performance, he swung his mighty plastic guitar and smashes it on the ground. Now thats what you call a performance!

I heard him scream like John Lennon when we were watching the MTV "Twist and Shout" tv. That Beatles Anthology DVD must have awaken his rock 'n roll part of his brain. I can't wait 'till he grows up and see what he will become. I'm so excited! Now, I know that someone will continue my dream. I told Lany that in the future me and Diego will build a home studio together. I can be the sound engineer or maybe jam with him and his friends when they come over. Cool!

Diego and I was passing by Gudaibiya and we came across this van that has a peculiar name. A letter in front of the vehicles name was scratched off the side. So from “SPEED BIRD TRANSPORTATION” it became “PEED BIRD TRANSPORTATION”. Parang double meaning di ba?

CAN'T HELP IT

Gracita of the blog "Harvey and Gracita" closed her friendster account. I was horrified and thought "why would anybody do such a thing?? " I have no idea. But the dilemma that people can still see you even if you set your account to private mode is there.

I for one, have done this move after deleting a couple of so called friends from my list. Its like hurling a rock over their obviously huge heads and then jumping over the bushes type of thing. Very childish but effective! And I'm sure that this childishness is a result of watching too many tv series of my idol "DR.HOUSE MD".

Anyhow, this fiend managed to sneak a peek at my friendster page...and so did his ex-wife (she's a good dancer by the way! Eat your heart out Frida Fonda!). It's amazing why they would do it...did I throw the rock too hard? Not so! He is still concious and was able to use the mouse and look at my page.

So I cleverly posted a shout-out at friendster that says "you can see my pictures at www.thehoneyspot.blogspot.com". This will lure those vultures to this site for sure. And if I put the word "naked" perhaps they would have visited this site in a flash.

This clearly proves nothing, but I want to share with them my message. "I WANT WORLD PEACE." And the initial process of achieving this monumental task will be ruined if I you are on my list of friends. Maybe later I will ask for forgiveness or something stupid like a friendster invite, but for now I will put you on hold. You made a changed man out of me.

After www.pinoyatbpa.com was launched all my entries was published there, hence I felt there was nothing to publish here...just the typical pictures from my wondercam. Anyways, guess what I found? Some girl was picking a fight with her friends arch enemy. But I'm asking myself why? First of all she is not directly involved with it. Second, the fight was not published over the net and nobody asked her to join. Third, there was no fight at all. Didn't she ever think that the guy who apparently insinuated the "non-existent fight" might just wanted to have closure? How rude of Miss Piggy to post something like that? Rude. Rude. Rude. I have reinstalled a new hit counter. The old one was erased after blogger merged with google mail. Sayang 'coz I was so happy with the hits this site is getting even if nobody really leaves a comment. After the counter was removed everything else went downhill. I love shrimps! I bet that anyone can’t have enough of them except maybe if they are allergic to it.

I saw a picture of my old friends at friendster and I saw the girl that they called a shrimp. We asked why did you call her a shrimp? A friend replied, “When you eat a shrimp you take the head off and eat the body. She’s like that. She’s got a beautiful body with an ugly face.” We all laughed for a while, but we pity the girl for being ridiculed by a jerk. But the shrimp thing was never forgotten. From then on I always think of her when I eat shrimps.

I have heard the words “Oh my God” so much in the past 4 weeks, and it’s terrible. I think I die a little each time I hear that nasty tone when it’s uttered. Were talking about work here if you’re asking. Nothing seems to be going in the right direction, even if I ask for the right path. Numerous times I have mixed religion and science together as my secret recipe for success. But it doesn’t seem to work nowadays.

Through this tiring months I learned something important. It is that, too much work can sharpen you like a sword…and more work can dull you like an overused kitchen knife. This statement is not far from what Jack said in Stephen King’s movie THE SHINING.

But as someone told me a long time ago, (I freakin forgot who you were man!) “We can’t runaway from our problems.” So I faced the problem head on and looked it dead in the eye.

The problem at work is still unresolved. Jack is still a dull boy…and so am I.

So I found this someone, somewhere, at sometime...(don't get confused. Though I'm trying to confuse you.) Then I came up to greet this person with glee. Told that person that I'm happy to have finally seen you for so many f* years. And then that person just smiled as if a green alien from outer space just appeared in front, and ask: "Who are you?"

I should have slapped that person silly as if I'm a green alien from outer space! After that I have to reintroduce myself, and where I came from. I should have told him that, "before when you guys are still interns you use to kiss our ass, and investigate our personal lives. And now you ask me who I am???"

Next time, if I see a familiar face I will just slap him across the face. For sure next time they'll remember me.

Diego and my sister Diane have the same birthday. Last December 18, 2006 we celebrated it with a simple dinner at Kamayan resto at West Avenue Quezon City. We had a good time, but we missed those who wasn't there. My Dad had the whooping cough and Lany's Dad is in Bahrain working. But nevertheless, my boy is now 1 year old. He lived with us for a whole year...and as the days pile up, so does our love for him.

MINUTE MAN

12 days before the big day and not my resignation papers are still not out of that freaking head quarters! I thought that military personnel are supposed to be disciplined and prompt with everything especially their jobs. It turns out that they are like the military in Pinas. But at least there you can find somebody that you can lubricate with cash, and they can fix your problems in a flash. Now, if I only knew of a greedy scumbag fixer that can get the job done if half the time then my problems are fixed.

There had been several of my friends who underwent the resignation procedure, but I have never heard of any of them being summoned to the HQ. It is very peculiar why they would ask for me. Could they have mistaken me for somebody else? But for whatever reason I want to get that appointment from Amal and get this over with. The guy at the unemployment line wants me to join them for a beer later on.

Sadly, I am not the only one affected by this paper chase. My wife could not sleep to the fact that she might travel with my 11 month old son alone. Babies can be a pain especially when it comes to traveling. They have more energy than a junkie smoking crack cocaine.

Lately I haven't been writing here because I'm soo sucked up with my resignation. My boss is telling me that they will approve it but there is no proper action being done to process my papers. They keep promising that it can be processed in a matter of days...which is a total bull! I don't know of anyone who's papers were processed in 10 days. Double bull! Now I can completely say that I understand what Janjan wen't through a year ago. Ain't that right Janers?!

As for the people asking me where I'm going after Bahrain, all I can say is...let's wait until next year. I don't know where I'm going either. Probably just waiting behind the unemployment line. Or! Me and my navy seal friend Ed can build our own farm and breed war freak street fighting roosters. We love our cocks!

I just wish that we could go home and rest for a while. But most importatly we want to go home to witness Jan and Ed tie the noose...I mean tie the knot. We can't wait to hear them say their wedding vows. I don't know whether I'll cry or pee laughing. Maybe I'll do both, but that I don't want to steal the show. We'll see...

But before they do something stupid like I love you, I want Ed to have a proper stag party. The thing that I did't have before I was married. I'll ask my wife to close Chico's Gay Bar to have a proper party for Jan too. Or if they want we can interchange the venue. It will be the Kulasisi Strip Joint for the girls, and the Adonis Gay Bar for us, which ever they prefer.

I recently tendered my resignation to my boss. Now I’m looking forward to stand at the unemployment line and get my much needed break. All these changes that’s going on at work seems to take its toll on me. The sound of being a bum terrifies me. Now I’m wondering what’s ahead for my career and family life. Kamote planting is not attractive for me. Perhaps its time to follow up my career in showbiz. Big Brother here I come!!!

About a month ago I wrote to the letters section of the Gulf Daily News regarding the traffic rules of this kingdom. It was nice of the editor to publish my inquiry, and I think it was a cool thing that I can get an answer for the questionable speeding ticket that I received for my birthday. But surprisingly after a week somebody answered me in a foul reply insulting my intelligence, as well as my driving skills. So I wen't back to my letter (chanting "Die bastard! Die!) hoping to find a mistake before I go ahead and kick this guys ass. I didn't find anything wrong with it. But I probably should have worked on it more before I decided to hit the submit button. I just can't help it, I'm a trigger happy person.

So what's wrong with this story? I'll tell you what? The editor of the newspaper is watching too much of the "Jerry Springer Show". How could he let the readers to be insulted in public? I felt like crap after a while, and then I decided that I am not going to write another comment on that silly newspaper. Instead, I would guest on the Jerry Springer Show and slug it out with the cheap-shot-low-life.

Thank God I didn't have telekinetic powers at that time.

I have been struck over and over by the Beatlemania eversince my uncle introduced them to me. If I may recall most of these introductions are by 8-track tapes. Sometimes it seems that their songs will live forever. But what I like about them the most is how they relate their songs to real life experience. Take Pennylane for example. The song takes you to a journey to a place where they grew up. And everytime I listen to it the more it reminds me of my own place in Navotas. RETROSPECT: "MELTS YOUR MOUTH NOT YOUR HANDS"

A friend of mine once asked me why retrospects are better than the actual event that happened. I told her that it's because retrospects play back at twice the speed or even faster, and only the good details are filtered and saved in our memories. So let me give you some of my retrospective views. These topics will be in random and will not be in order…that’s why they call it random! Bwa-ha-ha-ha-ha!

I stumbled into the song TEENAGE DIRTBAG by Wheatus while I was playing my mp3 collection at work. And I immediately remembered the pretty little girl with dazzling dreamy eyes MENA SUVARI. She is a total hottie like my wife (playing safe). The MTV was a mix of scenes with the band and clips from the movie LOSER. I definitely liked the part when Mena started singing "I GOT TWO TICKETS TO IRON MAIDEN BABY. COME WITH ME FRIDAY DON'T SAY MAYBE. IM JUST A TEENAGE DIRTBAG BABY LIKE YOU."while she walks towards Jason Biggs. Imagine that a hottie like that would walk up to you in slow-mo actually say that, would you melt? I would.

My friend Sarah just got back from the US and had an exciting experience finding a message in a bottle. No kidding! She never told me which kind of bottle the message was in. It could be very valuable clue to know that person. Say for example it’s an empty bottle of soy sauce then it could mean that the person is a Japanese. Or if its in a bottle of Budweiser it could mean that he is a red neck. A bottle of baby oil could mean that he has a baby or he is gay. There are a million possibilities!

Anyways, she found out that it came from a middle aged lady or Pakistani origin who wants to share her loss and her dreams…but mostly about her lost love. So if you guys know a Tony Khan (could it be the decendant of Genghis Khan or Odette Khan? Who cares!) from Dubai, let him know that he abandoned a woman who looks like Pamela Anderson.

The most interesting part about it is that Sarah picked up this bottle what could she be thinking? Could she be hoping for a Genie? You watch too much of those Walt Disney cartoons my friend. Haha! Peace! But what the heck, these things don’t happen everyday. Cool huh?

And then, when she saw the date and the time this Paki-lady has cast-away this message in a bottle she found out that it was just a couple of hours. So boys and girls, the moral of the lesson here today is that when you get trapped in a deserted island like our good friend Tom Hanks don’t bring an empty bottle. Coz even if you throw it will only be washed out within that beach area. It is better to bring a pair of ice skates like Tom. You can use it to knock your tooth out or open coconuts with it if it's sharp enough. And uh-uh! Bring a football just in case you get lonely!

NIRVANA

Me and Peer were having a conversation regarding friends and how being an expat changed our lives. It really does. And then we touched the topic about India and how things are done there. Then I told her about my little cousin who is in Mumbai. She was taken there by her father eversince my Aunt Edith died about 4 years ago. He suggested that I call her. I told her I don’t know what to expect. Years ago when I last spoke to her she was just laughing and giggling like she doesn't know what I'm talking about. I miss her so much, and this prompted me to call her. Since Peer is here, he will help me to talk with them. It's not so easy to understand their English heavily tinted with Hindi.

I was so surprised when she spoke to me. She see to be very bright and outspoken. Her English is very good! She has been trained well in school and she's well mannered. A trait that lacks some Pinoy kids her age. I'm just glad to know that she still remembers me and the rest of my family. The sad part about it is that she didn’t receive any of the letters that I sent her. I don’t want her to forget me or my family. She means a lot to us because she is my favorite aunt's daughter.

The phone call still lingers in my ears. I promised to see her one day. But for now I have to be contented by writing her a letter to let her know what's happening to me.

Its amazing what a phone call can do.

I made my first blog entry on October 10, 2004. I can't believe that it's been two years? wow! I have never kept anything for this long except for a cheap pair of briefs. But I sure do intend to keep this blog for as long as I can. Nowadays, its just impossible to write anything with my schedule.

KWENTONG TAMBAY

The book is finally out! It's no surprise that Nicanor David's blog would someday be compiled in a book. And why not? This is probably one of the funniest pinoy blogsite I've ever visited. For me Batjay is probably the new male Jessica Zafra. I can't wait to get a copy and read it this December. By January I can use the pages to wrap my favorite Tinapa. => Now go out and get a copy!

BIRTHDAY BLUES

Every year before my birthday I always feel down. There's an eerie feeling like loneliness that I can't explain. When I was in my 20's I could pinpoint my blues to aging and a feeling lack of accomplishment. I loathed reaching the age of 30 because those numbers sound old and all the younger women would think that I am geriatric. But after crossing the 30 something line I don’t bother about it that much. Well who cares anyway?

When I was about 4 years old (I think) my grandfather used to tell me that I'm exempted to take a bath on my birthday, and I can do anything I want. The usual thing would be a trip to Luneta Park, and then I'll have to eat fried chicken. Fried chicken is not my favorite. It's just the fashionable thing to eat at that time.

I will play to my hearts content. Not even school can stop me climbing the pungent giant shoe slide/porta-john in Luneta. Why is it called Luneta anyways? Does it have anything to do with the moon? I'll wiki it later.

If its not the park I would prefer the Zoo. I love animals! Got lots of friends like you reading my stuff right now. Hee-hee! There is the old elephant near the entrance, the crocodile that doesn't move, the snakes that is good in hiding (or probably the cage is empty. That’s very Manila-zooish.), and the lions. My personal favorite is Peter the Orangutan. There is a sign outside his cage warning everyone to be cautions upon approaching the cage because the monkey spits…and throws monkey shit on people. He is so hilarious! Throwing shit! Hahahaha! Which reminds me of my boss. Maybe I should call him Peter?

After my field trip we usually go back to Navotas and my father will bring me to our relatives. My uncles will roll up the big bucks for me. Sorry I don't take coins. After giving the money they'll say this money is for your milk. But after I we go home all the money goes to mommy. Later on that cash will vanish without a trace. If my mom was an accountant for a corrupt government official, we would have been rich.

Nowadays I want to have a small party with my family and friends. It always break the blues. My friend Dondie already pledged a bandehado of his special Pancit. Now who wants to pledge for Vodka? Hehehe! But to keep it sweet and simple I only want a kiss from my wife and my baby boy when I wake up.

That is the cry of Mel Gibson in the movie "Braveheart". Now it seems that I too have to shout it out to the computer department. Over censorship crap! Why do they have to block the good websites including http://www.wikipedia.org/? What is the point of having an internet at work if you can't access the best of the best of cyberspace. Now I keep checking my site if they have blocked it. Don't you dare computer guy! It's not worth it. They will not promote you to senior computer guy anyway.

RELATIVITY

I forgot to tell you why me and my sister call my grandmother "Lola Dagat", well here it is. When I was young I'm confused when my parents ask me to go to my Lola. And I always ask them which one? (And believe it or not they still confuse me up to now.) If memory serves, I think it was my father who coined the name "Lola Dagat", because they live near the sea. Guess who she's married to? If you guessed "Lolo Dagat" then you must be a genius! You deserve a Nobel Prize! My grandfather's real name is Felix. The most handsome grand-daddy in the world!

GREEN

I admit that I am green in envy of my friends and relatives in America. This country has been engraved in my mind by my culture as the equivalent of paradise. A place where you can get everything. A place where the opportunities may it be big or small is endless. A place where even hobo's look good in Oakley shades, and they can speak English too! Not unlike their Filipino counterparts. I can only imagine at this time, that everyone in my family will be so happy to live there and enjoy the American way of living.

TV and movies has taken me there maybe a thousand times. The land is huge and overflowing with natural resources. The beaches are clean and full of beautiful women in their bikini, like the one's on Baywatch. And in terms of technology, I don't think that America is far behind on anything.

Recently, I have spoken to my long time friend in the US and she said that her life is a disaster. I asked myself "how could it be?" Even if something bad happens to you there you could easily bounce back, like those action heroes in movies. Or you’re  tragedy can be turned into comedy like in Scrubs. Have I been misinformed? I guess I won't know until I get there.

Everytime I open my yahoo account I always get this notice that this particular guy has updated his blog. Not just one time in a day, but sometimes several times! Crazy @ss. (Oh, no not you Janers. I love reading your blog.) It's just so irritating! I don't even read his blog. Does anybody know how I can get him out of my list?

Dear Janers and Edster,

Diego loves the water! Could this be a product of our weekly swimming party? Could be. Anyways, we dropped by Edsters flat in Juffair before we went home. We surely miss the happy times when you guys were here. BTW, I saw your male nurse friend at Carl's birthday party last weekend and the Nickelback song played in my head over and over again. Oh, I forgot to tell you that there is a DVD version of the music video that I gave you. Now everything is synchronised. I'll give it to you in December. See you!

We wanted to go swimming, but we have to make sure that our son will not be scared of the water. After sitting in the tub for a few minutes he was making big splashes (look at the drops of water on the left side). And why won't he love the water? His dad is from Navotas.

Belated Happy Birthday to Janers and Edster! We didn't send any text messages to you since we know that you can't use your mobile phone in Japan. We miss you very much! Is there any chance you can send me some sushi?=)

I have never seen a more exciting picture like this since grade school. My fascination for strapping a poor creature to something that will explode or burst into flames makes me giggle like a school girl. Me and my friends tried this once with a bull frog and a Lolo Thunder. After the explosion the frog disappeared! If that is not exciting enough we tried something different. Lolo Thunder + Dog Shit! We formed a circle and held each others hands. The first one to chicken out will buy food. The winner was "the big pile of dog shit"!!! Ta-daaa! We went home covered with gun powder scented dog shit.

BLOGLESS

It is so refreshing to read your friends blog entries when you find yourself blogless. I don’t have any exciting things that will interest anyone of you. There are a few things but I don’t want to brag about it. The only interesting thing that happened to me this week is that my car airconditioning broke down. Its so expensive to replace the compressor! Now my car is in Kuya Edward's Garage. Thanks to Dondi for the ride to Isa Town.

On the lighter side of our life, we have been itching to invite friends over at our place. We haven’t entertained any guests in quite a while and we miss all our close friends. To top it all I wanted to show them the new entertainment system that we got. The sound is amazing! Singing with the videoke will never be the same!
